Mark Downs specializes in building and managing government sales operations within small and medium size companies. He has developed federal business practices from the ground up within companies that now lead their industry peers in government sales. Mark’s clients have included companies from the Transportation, IT, Lighting, Specialty Materials, Industrial Machinery, Environmental, and Green Technology sectors.

Mark advises companies new to the government market as well as experienced contractors seeking to expand their presence. He provides hands on support through the procurement cycle including marketing and business development, government sales representation, capture management, and contract performance.

Prior to joining Interface, Mark served as an active duty Naval Officer. His assignments included Assistant Supply Officer onboard the USS BRISCOE, Training Officer onboard USS BARRY, as well as staff assignments at the Pentagon and US Navy Central Command in Bahrain. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Randolph-Macon College, and an MBA from The George Washington University. Mark is an active member of the Coalition for Government Procurement, the National Defense Industrial Association, and the Surface Navy Association.
