Dave Knapp has been actively involved in Federal Agency business development and sales since 1977. After graduating from Yale University he worked for a United Technologies subsidiary for 8 years where he first gained exposure to the government market prior to joining Interface in 1982.

Since that time, Mr. Knapp has nurtured new clients for Interface that had virtually no federal business into multi-million dollar per year accounts with government agencies. Introduction of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products and services directly to agency customers or through prime contractors is an area he has been very successful in pursuing for Interface clients.

In the past 15 years, he has had a direct hand in helping Interface clients secure over $500 million in contract awards with multiple agencies for environmental services, facility maintenance and health and safety products.

In early 2013, Mr. Knapp was invited to join the board of the DC Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association, a position he holds along with participation in NCMA, the Coalition and several other government –focused associations. Mr. Knapp sits on the advisory board of a local community bank and is a past-President of a prominent northern Virginia golf and country club.
